HEALTH TIPS
The health is the top-most priority. Here are some basic tips on staying healthy.

EAT A BALANCED DIET
To remain healthy, one must maintaia balanced diet comprising of the six classes of food. One should:
Add variety to meals, i.e a food that is to be consumed should contain fruits, vegetables, fatty fish (if you aren't vegetarian).
Cut back on Salt: This helps reduce the risks of high blood pressure.
Limit your sugar intake: This helps to reduce the likelihood of developing diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke and some cancers.
Avoid unhealthy fats: One should stick to unsaturated fats such as olive oil, fish, nuts, seeds, avocados e.t.c. Avoid or reduce intake of saturated fats like red meat, butter and cheese, baked goods e.t.c.

STAY WELL HYDRATED
Remember to drink 8 glasses of water a day. The human body is made up of 80% water, and water is necessary for regular bowel function, optimal muscle performance, and skin health. Not drinking enough water can cause dehydration, fatigue, headache, dry skin and weakened immunity.

EXERCISE REGULARLY
Exercising not only helps to maintain a healthy weight, but also decrases the risks of developing diseases as a result of a sedentary lifestyle.

GET ENOUGH SLEEP
There is a strong link between sleep and the immune system. Getting 7-9 hours of sleep heals and strengthens the body while asleep. Good sleep is vital for physical and mental health.

LIMIT ALCOHOL INTAKE
Excessive alcohol drinking can lead to liver disease and even liver cancer in the long run. Men should limit alcoholic drinks to two a day, and a drink a day for women.

DO NOT SMOKE
Smoking is the leading cause of cancer across the globe. Apart from lung cancer, smoking contributes to the development of other organ cancer and also increases the risk of heart disease.
