        In the early 1970's, Qatar was slated to join the neighboring states in becoming part of United Arab Emirates. However, it rejected the opportunity and instead form an independent state. Initially, it was once a British protectorate till 3 sep,1971 when they gain their independence. The country technically operate on a constitutional monarchical system of government that constitute the Emir and Prime minister but the executive power is vested in the Emir and he chooses whomever he pleases as the prime minister whom must also be from the royal family(Al Thani family have been in power since 1800s).

        It was reportedly one of the smallest but mightiest country in the Persian gulf. It is the richest Arab Country and the fourth wealthiest on a global scale. Most of the wealth comes from petroleum and natural gas, the exports of this two things account for 60% of their GDP, it has the highest GDP per capita in the world according to IMF.

        Qatar is the first Arab Country and the smallest Country in the world to ever host FIFA and the first ever carbon neutral world cup. It happens to be in winter time as well. It was made known that over $220billion was spent on buildings and infrastructural facilities in the country to ensure the success of the world cup and further boost the prestige of the country and it sure did as it was reportedly the most expensive world cup ever in history. It has been the most safest place in the world according to the NUMBER CRIME INDEX, in which Qatar has the lowest score globally. The best Airline in the world is Qatar airways owns by the Qatar government; the safest and most efficient of all.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT QATAR 

• Drinking to stupor is probihited as well as drinking in public places which could result to prison sentence of 6months or fine up to 3000QAR($824)

• Qatar has many real estate investments around the world but most of them are in London. The Qatari Royal family's new home is being built in London with an estimated $313million. The country possesses more than three times the properties the Queen owns making Qatar the biggest landlord in London.  

• There are no forests, one out of the only four territories in the world with no forest, no cliffs or hills.

 • 99%of the population lives in the capital city, DOHA.

• The country's national dish is MACHBOOS, a meal of rice, meat, onions, tomatoes and spices.

• Qatar has the world lowest female population of 24.7% that is, there are three women for one man due to the high rate of expatriates in the country. Only 12% of the population are Qataris.

• Qatar Luxury and decadence is beyond comparison, the fascinating weather, laid back life style, tax free salaries are few out of the many previleges enjoyed by both the citizens and migrants.
