AFCON 2025 (Morocco):
- Nigeria claimed the bronze medal after defeating Egypt on penalties (January 17, 2026).
- The final between hosts Morocco and Senegal is set to be played soon, with Sadio Mane confirming this will be his last 

AMERICAN FOOTBALL (NFL)
 
- Playoffs: The Denver Broncos advanced to the AFC Championship game after a 33-30 overtime thriller against the Buffalo Bills. However, quarterback Bo Nix suffered a season-ending broken ankle in the win.
