You are welcome ; Welcome to Interview With Juayoloπ₯π
Am sure we would have a good time, isn't it?ππ
Alright! Can we start the journey?ππ₯π
DSNA:The Interview Beginsπ₯π₯
So Sodejumo you are welcome To DSNA Interview....
Can you kindly introduce yourself and all that encompasses you?π
Adejumo: I am Adejumo Abolore Muhammad
Born and bred in Benin City, Edo state.
I attended Salvation nursery School, just a street after ours.
After that, I proceeded to Virginia Primary School in Virginia street, Benin City and then I proceeded to Edokpolo Grammar School Benin City
I finishedfrom there in 2013 and at April 2014, I travelled out of Benin City, to go live elsewhere, for the first time.
I moved to Ede, Osun State to further my knowledge of Arabic and Islam in general and also memorise portions of the Quran.
I've halted other activities for now till we round up.
DSNA:Okay Adejumo!
Looking at your response,I would say you have an experience of different environment..
I will make reference to the Benin City....
How well can you describe Benin City ,I heard it full of so many cultures and artefacts!
Could you give a precise description of how Benin City Looks like?
Adejumo:Benin City is a city with artefacts. Yes! These artefacts are mostly found in the Benin Museum located in Ring road Benin City and a place called *Igun* street.
In this Igun street you will see many people creating sculptures.
DSNA: Alright! Thank you so much for the little briefing of the Benin City ..So ,to the next question, can you give a description of your family background?
Adejumo:I am from a polygamous home.
My father had two wives before my mom and my mom gave birth to me as her first for my dad and another girl.
My dad married a fourth wife who also gave birth to just one child before his demise.
In totality, we are 17 in number and I am number 15.
Dad passed away while I was in primary 2 third term.
Mom passed away 2018
That makes me a full time orphanπ
DSNA:Wow ! That's big Family Out there Okay Adejumo, how was your childhood experience? looking at the fact that you are from a bigger family...Let know the twist and the memories that all happened..
Adejumo:Growing up! Hmmmm!!
Was not that cool. Reason being that dad and mom were divorced before dad passed away so we(I and my sister) had to live with stepmom and step siblings so it was not that rosy.
Like most polygamous homes each person was fighting for his supremacy and we did not have a mom to be our shield.
Mom didn't abandon us but didn't have the wherewithal to bring us in.
Basically, I have been on my own and as I continued to strive, God has blessed me with very wonderful Muslim family from Facebook who have been behind me full time and assisting my goals.
Infact, I always tell people *see I am a child with many parents; I have plenty fathers and mothers*
DSNA: Wow,that was a different experience actually... Okay,to the next question on what basis did you decide to study in OAU and secondly how has the academic struggle been for you ?
Adejumo:Nice question, Tosin.
I was from amongst the people of *school na scam*, so, after attaining a reasonable amount of Arabic knowledge I thought of not going to University anymore since I can speak correct English too.
However, two things made me to come for it:
1. I was not getting into some circles I wanted to be in. Of course, ladies were rejecting proposals πππ
I started to feel inferior despite my Arabic and Islamic knowledge which lots of people testify to and praise me for. In summary, I realised I need a degree or diploma Sha.
Those my Facebook family kept ringing it in my ears to go to school. They always say *we see a great scholar in you alongside an academia just like Pantami*(don't mind them o. Na ordinary hypingππ) all what you have to do is go to school and earn a degree.
And, when I announce that I am ready to pursue a degree they all rejoiced and actually they sponsored my admission into OAU and did lots of work for me and my wife to get admitted. Some of them actually met with HOD and all that
Academic life has not been easy but I enjoy one thing: that each class I go I learn something new that I didn't know before.
No matter how much you feel you have read, you learn in the university.
DSNA: Yeah that was a wonderful way to end that question you answered! So,on a lighter mood, what do you do in your leisure time?
Adejumo:Leisure time??
I hardly have these days. All I do is sell and sell and sell data l, Airtime and do POS.
But before the Business I watch movies at leisure time and chat with friends and sometimes play game (I could barely play about three or four games).
DSNA: Well done for the responses Adejumo..I would be asking two question in this section? Firstly, how well can you describe your relationship with every other constituency especially your set and second what are your motivational quotes?
Adejumo:Firstly, we only have relationship with our excos who are mostly in part 4. As for others, we do not have much interaction.
For my motivational quotes ,I will say as we let our own light shine we unconsciously give other people the permission to do the same* gotten from the movie Akeelah and the Bee
*Do not listen to the naysayers* by Denzel Washington.
Lastly, as we are in school let us always remember that "Omi leyan" we can meet anywhere again in life so let's be careful how we deal with people today.
Anyone can be of help to us tomorrow.
Finally, we are here in school to achieve something not as a place to come destroy ourselves.. so let's be careful of the *social* events we partake in.
DSNA: Would you like to give a shout our message?
Adejumo DSNA: I say a shout-out to all those my Facebook friends who have supported my business in one way or the other: by standing in for me as a guarantor or by referring me to people etc
Especially those who add me to some special groups on WhatsApp.
Thank you so much My Guest! Thank you for the responses so far! And we are so glad to have you on DSNA interview Adejumo Muhammad.ππ
