The Quiet Refill:(a sonnet)

                      THE QUIET REFILL

You pour for everyone until you're dry,
Then wonder why your own cup stays so bare.
You save your gentleness for passersby,
And no one cares for you!
The world will always ask for one thing more.
It has no limit, and it will not stop.
So you must learn to always let your cup fill.
Try to tend the garden of your crop.
This is not being selfish, it might feel strange,
To choose the nap, the walk, the quiet hour.
Small kindness to self can rearrange
The whole terrain—small acts, but real power.
So rest today, not as a treat you've earned,
But simply as a right that's always yours.
