Eid Kabir na one festive time wey I dey always love, why not? Dat joy wey you dey feel wen you meet your far-far family, friends, and relatives no get part two. Abi na di plenty beef and surplus drinks? Nobody fit miss dis kind adventure o.After my ECN 202 test for Ogba Femi, I just waka go garage sharp-sharp to catch motor go Ibadan. In less dan 10 minutes, di motor don full. You know why? Other people sef dey excited to go house.From garage, pass OUI, Gbongan, Ikire, na so I land for Ibadan (dat city wey get brown roofs). I reach Iwo Road where Micra drivers no gree let trailers move. Even Maruwa, dat three-wheeler, dey try overtake bus. Iwo Road underbridge no be am at all, di place too crowdy. Buyers and sellers don divide di road into two, leave half for trailers, interstate buses, Micra drivers, Keke Napep, and okada to share.You know say dat place no get traffic light or anybody to control di motor dem. But las-las, I see cab wey carry me go Challenge. Normal-normal, from Iwo Road to Challenge na ₦800, but for festive period, Micra drivers dey charge ₦1500. Who I be to argue when I know say price fit climb again soon?I enter di cab with four other passengers—one wey no fit stop to dey chew gum till di end, another wey dey play loud music like say na concert, and two others wey no stop to dey complain about di high transport money.Di road from Iwo Road to Challenge suppose be less dan 45 minutes, but I spend pass two hours for road. Why? Traffic o. But di journey no boring sha, as di old Micra drivers and Keke Napep drivers no gree stop banter. Trailer drivers and interstate bus drivers no fit agree on who go move first. I forget okada and people wey dey waka? Lai lai.Finally, we reach my place. But gist no end o. Wednesday na di last WAEC exam, dat one mean say SS3 students dey do sign-out. I happy for dem sha, but why dem go use temporary marker write for person face all in di name of sign-out? I wait five minutes, dey hear secondary school students dey argue while I dey wait for bike wey go carry me go house.Na so I reach house with premium gist o. How your own waka go house be for festive period?
