Movie Review: Water and Garri

The movie explores the power of  human connection and mental health awareness. Aisha embarked on a journey of self healing after a painful past. The cinematography was very colorful and artsy, while the location and settings were good and matched the cinematographer's vision. The soundtrack was great, and the actors looked good. Tiwa Savage's performance as Aisha was exceptional, and she captured the essence of her character's struggle with grace. "Water and Garri " is a movie that falls short of expectations, despite the promise of its premise . The movie's plot, which revolves around Aisha's journey of self-discovery, lacks depth and fails to engage viewers .The  storytelling is predictable and disjointed .   Overall, the movie's shortcomings make it a disappointing watch.                                     _Rhammy_

BOOK REVIEW "The psychology of money"

Image
"The psychology of money"by Morgan Housel        The book is a captivating exploration of the complex relationship between our minds and money. Housel brings to limelight the psychological biases and behaviors that influence our financial decisions, offering insights that are both practical and profound. He discusses how our emotions, instincts, and past experiences shape our attitudes towards money, often leading to irrational choices and unexpected outcomes.      One key theme in the book is the importance of understanding the difference between being rich and being wealthy. Housel argues that true wealth is not just about having a large bank account, but rather about achieving financial security and freedom. He emphasizes the value of investing in experiences, relationships, and personal growth, rather than just accumulating material possessions.       Another highlight is Housel's exploration of the concept of risk and uncertainty in...

Blacksmith (Alágbède) Cast : Femi Adebayo, Kehinde Bankole, Gabriel Olasubomi Afolayan, Adebowale Adebayo, Bimbo Oshin, Jaiye Kuti, Mr Macaroni, Taiwo Ibikunle Blacksmith (Alágbède) is not your typical Yoruba film. It offers a more nuanced plot, excellent casting choices, costumes that are true to the period it was set in, and an uncommon feature you barely find in Nollywood films: good writing. As implied in its name, Blacksmith (Alagbede) tells the story of a blacksmith hopelessly in love with a girl. This pushes him to make a drastic decision that threatens his reputation, friendship, and, ultimately, his life. While Blacksmith (Alágbède) has the potential to be one of the best Nollywood romantic comedy films of 2024 and receive several award nominations, the film’s concept can best be described as simple. The storyline was quite linear, allowing easy prediction of its final events. Some people find love and living to be effort...
