Popular dish in Thailand 🥣🇹🇭

Every culture, tradition or country is known for a signature dish, cuisine or delicacy. For instance Jollof Rice is known for it's popularity in Nigeria. Today we journey into the Asian country of Thailand to explore their popular dishes.
One of the most popular dishes in Thailand is Pad Thai. It is a stir-fried rice noodle dish typically made with:

Thin rice noodles
Eggs
Tofu or shrimp
Bean sprouts
Crushed peanuts
Tamarind paste
Fish sauce
Chili flake

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Noodles:
Soak the rice noodles in warm water for 30 minutes or until soft. Drain and set aside.
2. Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix tamarind paste, fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice. Adjust to taste—sweet, sour, and salty should be balanced.
3. Cook the Stir-Fry:
Heat oil in a large wok or skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add your protein (shrimp, chicken, or tofu) and stir-fry until cooked through. Push to the side of the pan.
Pour in the beaten eggs, scramble them, and mix with the protein.
4. Add Noodles and Sauce:
Add the soaked noodles to the pan. Pour the sauce over and toss to combine. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the noodles absorb the sauce.
5. Add Vegetables:
Stir in the bean sprouts and green onions . Cook for one minute keeping the vegetables crisp.
6. Garnish and serve:
Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with raw peanuts, and garnish with lime wedges, cilantro and chilly flakes.

Pad Thai is known for its perfect balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy flavors, making it a favorite both in Thailand and internationally. Other popular dishes in Thailand include Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Shrimp Soup), Green Curry (Gaeng Keow Wan), and Som Tum (Papaya Salad).
