*AN OFFICIAL MEMO IN LIEU OF THE COURT PROCEEDINGS & VERDICTS ON THE INCIDENT THAT OCCURED ON 21/11/23( FRESHERS SRC ELECTION.*

*The preface to the IRSA constitution reads;*

"The entire members of International Relations Students Association

(IRSA), Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, having firmly and solemnly considered it imperative to establish this ssociation with a view to:

*promoting intellectual, socio-cultural development, cooperation, welfare, harmony and good governance among members of the department*, and guiding our relations with other external bodies, do hereby give to ourselves the following constitution."

"Intellectual, socio-cultural development, cooperation, welfare, harmony, and good governance"

As an association and as respective members, with utmost dignity we should in all capacity strive to uphold these values. These values will shape our activities as members of IRSA, but also significantly shape our lives in the world beyond IRSA.

Therefore, it is imperative that as students of International Relations, studying the interaction between countries across borders, that we are lawful and respectful of the rules guiding the conduct of our dear Association.

This is not an uncivilized environment neither an anarchical one. It is important we remind ourselves, there are established principles guiding the unwavering functionality of the association and society as a whole. The camaraderie, intellectual discussion and development we enjoy are by-products of our adherence.

Therefore, this is a point of information, reminding us why guiding principles and adherence to these principles are vital to the growth and development of any organisation.

The act which was highly extreme and unruly as experienced by the SRC members present, was on the 21/11/23 tabled to the judicial committee whose body took a thorough investigation with couple of witnesses and evidences obtained gave the final verdict on 21/11/23.
