The Green represent the Catholics, the White signify Peace and the Orange represent the Protestants.

             IRELAND is one out of the European countries, the 12th most safest country in the world and one of the most amazing places on earth. It was nicknamed the EMERALD ISLE due to the frequent rainfall which makes the land green. It shares a border with U.K which makes the northern island a part of the United Kingdom. The country's capital city is the least populated in the world.

    The country operate a constitutional democracy, a parliamentary system of government. The president who earns an approximately €250,000annually,the prime minister also referred to as Taoiseach earns €220,000 annually and the deputy prime minister known as Tanaishe earns €200,000.

     Ireland is the most successful Eurovision song contest country that started in 1956, the first win was in 1970th the song "All kinds of everything" written by Derry Landsay and Jackie Smith and sang by Dana(Rosemary Brown). Altogether won 7 times.

     The first country in the world to legalize same sex marriage with referendum even though as at the time more than one-third of it's citizens are abroad, they flew from different country just to vote in support of same sex marriage as the country's constitution opposed voting by proxy.

It was confirmed that 18% of people living in Ireland are foreigners.

     The popular St Patrick's day and Halloween day originated from Ireland and it is widely practice around the world.

Unfortunately St Patrick who is termed the most famous Irish in the world is not from Ireland. He was from Wales and was sent to Ireland as a missionary. At the time, protestants were taking over most countries in northern Europe. The catholic church felt the need to protect Ireland from protestants and sent St Patrick on a Mission. He quickly became a bishop and the patron saint of Ireland. He was celebrated every 17th march, his year of death.

     One out of the many amazing things about Ireland is that 22 American President out of 45 have Irish ancestry.

10% of people is Ireland have red hair, which makes the country the highest number of red-haired people per Capita.

      Ireland is known for holding many Guiness record such as the most cookies baked in one hour, world largest tea towel, most cups of tea made in one hour by team of 12 ,the highest combined age.

       The vastly acknowledged concept  of peaceful protest originated in Ireland and it was conceptualized by Daniel O'Connell.

       There are numerous attractions in Ireland such as cliffs of Moher, Killarney National Park, Giant's Causeway, Guiness Store, House, New grange, Ring of Jerry, kilmainham Gaol, Aran islands, Trinity College, Titanic Belfast, kilkanny castle, kinsale, Old Jameson Distillery, Slieve League, The little Museum of Dublin, kylemore Abbey, Blarney castle, Glendalough, Rock of cashel, Dublin castle, Dingle Penisula, Wide Atlantic Way, Galway City and other numerous tourist centres.
