WHO IS ELIZABETH BATHORY?

WHO IS ELIZABETH BATHORY? According to history, she's said to have use the blood of Virgins in bathing herself. How true is this?. published by Elina Elizabeth Bathory, also known as Ersebet Bathory, a Countess of Hungary is said to have murdered hundreds of young women in the early 17th century.    Elizabeth was a noblewoman of Hungary who was rich and powerful. Her relations were made up of an Uncle who was a King of Poland and a nephew who was a prince of Transylvania.       She was accused of horrific acts of serial murder in 1610 and as a result of this was restricted to her home of Castle Cachtice, where she stayed until her death. She is reckon to have murdered at least six hundred victims, and as a result of this was, she is known as a prolific female murderer in the Guinness World Record, and this earned her the nickname, "Blood Countess". However, it is likely that she was not guilty of all the crime allegations made against her.   ...

OAU releases dates, guidelines for PUTME screening exercise

Lawal Shereef The Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile Ife has released guidelines and new dates for it's screening exercise. DSNAOAU gathered that the screening exercise will be held in Ile Ife (main campus and Moro campus) and Abuja between 27th of February and 3rd of March 2020. The statement read 'All candidates that registered for the 2020 Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Post UTME Screening Exercise are hereby informed that the new dates for the exercise are as follows: - Ile-Ife Centre: 27th February, 2021 – 3rd March, 2021 (On OAU and Moro Campuses) - Abuja Centre: 6th March, 2021 (JAMB CBT Centre, Bwari, Abuja) Screening slips (containing actual dates and venue for each candidate) can be printed from http://admissions.oauife.edu.ng from 14th February, 2021 (By logging on to your profile page). Lawal Shereef Uganda’s election commission on Saturday declared incumbent Yoweri Museveni the winner of the presidential election, extending his 35-year rule as his main rival,Robert Kyagulanyi  alleged fraud and urged citizens to reject the result. Museveni won 5.85 million votes, or 58.64 percent, of the total while main opposition candidate Bobi Wine won 3.48 million votes or 34.83 percent, the electoral commission said in a televised news conference. Lawal Shereef Branches of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) after assessing their various institutions have said that the various Universities aren't safe for reopening. READ ALSO!!:  OAU set to decide resumption date on January 19th While responding to the National Universities Commission (NUC)'s directive that Universities could resume January 18th,several ASUU chapters have said that it's almost impossible for Covid 19 protocols to be adhered to in classrooms and hostels. ASUU said although its members  were ready to start work, government had not put measures in place for safe reopening of the schools. ASUU’s concern came amid coronavirus cases and deaths, which rose to 99,063 and 1,350  respectively on Saturday. Lawal Shereef Obafemi Awolowo University has arisen the hopes of many of it's students as it's PRO declared that resumption date would be announced after a University Senate meeting on Tuesday,19th of January. Students of the University have been expecting a circular or resumption notice from the University since the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) called off it's 9 months strike on 23rd of December 2020. Romance Scandal:Why A Petition Was Raised To Sack The Managing Director of FCMB

  No fewer than 2,311 persons have already signed a petition calling for the sacking of the FCMB Managing Director,Adam Nuru over his alleged affair with a former worker of the bank, Moyo Thomas. The petition is also asking the Central Bank of Nigeria and the FCMB board to dismiss Nuru on ethical grounds.  A cross-section of Nigerians have also condemned the FCMB Managing Director over the alleged affair, which reportedly made Thomas depressed and eventually led to his death.   An estate company officer narrated that he had gone to inspect the house in which Thomas lived in Magodo and was surprised that he was alone at home and lying on the bed. Lagos State orders schools to resume January 18

 The Lagos State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Folasade Adefisayo on  Monday in a statement by the Head, Public Affairs, Ministry of Education, Kayode Abayomi announced that the Lagos State Government has ordered all public and private schools in the state to reopen for the second term of 2020/21 academic session from Monday, January 18, 2021. In the statement titled, ‘All public and private schools in Lagos State to resume 18th January 2021’, schools were also asked to make virtual learning available. She said this was in line with the Federal Government’s directive coupled with the second wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic. UNILAG ASUU chapter sanctions 240 lecturers for enrolling on IPPIS

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) chapter of the  Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has sanctioned 240 members for enrolling on the federal government’s Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) initiative opposed by the union. The resolution, which was arrived at during the ASUU-UNILAG congress held on December 29, 2020, was signed by Dele Ashiru, the union’s chairman at the varsity, and Olusegun Samuel, its secretary.
